Roy has a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, a Bachelor of Commerce from University of New South Wales, and a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning).

He has two decades of experience in investment research, investment management, superannuation and financial planning, a decade with the financial regulator ASIC and early career in marketing and business strategy consulting.

He was a top-rated investment analyst in Australia and head of Asian research servicing global fund managers.

He came 10th place in the NSW State Higher School Certificate.

Roy believes there is an educational need for practical financial literacy.
